Pawtechtors is a community‑driven social network that empowers users to report stray or abandoned animals, coordinate rescue efforts, and find forever homes. Built with a responsive React front‑end and a Node.js/Express API, the platform aggregates real‑time data from barangay (village) offices and nearby veterinary clinics, creating a single source of truth for pet welfare activities.

Key features include a geo‑tagged incident map, a vet‑verified health checklist for each animal, adoption request workflows, and a messaging system that lets volunteers, shelters, and adopters communicate securely. Role‑based access control powered by Firebase Authentication ensures that barangay officials can approve rescue requests, while vets can update medical records and vaccination status.

By bridging the gap between local authorities, animal care professionals, and the public, Pawtechtors accelerates the rescue‑to‑adoption pipeline, reduces stray populations, and fosters a culture of responsible pet ownership. The platform’s modular architecture also allows future expansion into donation handling, volunteer scheduling, and community events.
